Peoples Theatre in a virtual world | The Good Book – 29th September

Hosted by Arup

We are delighted to bring a 30 minute experimental virtual theatre experience to the Leeds Digital Festival.

Join digitised members of Leeds People’s Theatre and interact with their virtual world. This first-person experience creates an unconventional way to enjoy one of Britain’s favourite past times. The experiment explores how combining gaming technologydigital twin modeling and live performance can create a new experience for audiences.

Choose a time to suit you to hear the characters deliver their powerful message in a unique environment. The story is set within a scanned, virtual model of The Holbeck, the oldest social club in Britain.

Register for your preferred timeslot starting 29th September from 11am onwards. On the day, you will be sent a unique link which will become live when it’s your time to join. Each audience member will have 30 minutes to explore the set.

This short experimental theatre experience has been created by Arup, in collaboration with Digital Twin start-up LocLab and award winning theatre company Slung Low utilising Unreal Engine.
