Moving to a brand new data ecosystem, away from any legacy ties, Asda will do retail in a way it hasn’t been done before. Asda is going fully cloud, partnering with Microsoft, and you can learn about our journey and challenges we are facing to get us to our new platform. Data is at the core of its separation from Walmart and a key enabler of its retail future business and its emerging capacity to drive insight from its data assets. Data Management and Governance is a new emerging function and team within this big transformational journey.
The team is bringing new frameworks and practices alive in collaboration with the business. We have ahead of us a path of discovery and evolution with the support of our newly recognised Data Owners and Data Stewards, clearly establishing the powerful role of the business to own and manage its valuable data assets. This presentation will provide an insight on the journey we are taking, our vision towards a future where Asada’s data is visible, discoverable, consumable security and legally compliant.
