Yesterday was another big day at Leeds Digital Festival HQ with the return of some of last year’s top events as well as some new favourites.
Most notably, yesterday saw the return of FinTech North, the largest (and best) FinTech conference outside of London. Credit to Leeds’ renown reputation for financial services combining with the city’s thriving and innovative digital sector.
The event returned to AQL’s Salem Chapel with over 350 delegates in attendance to witness talks and discussions from the industry’s leading movers and shakers. Featuring some big names from London and beyond, including Christopher Woolard, the Executive Director of the FCA, Stuart Sherman founder of IMC who flew in from Toronto and the founder of Jobbatical, Karoli Hindriks from Estonia.
We also saw four of Leeds top digital marketing agencies come together to put on the SEO Conference: Leeds Loves Search at Headrow House featuring speakers from Branded3, Epiphany, Home & BlueClaw. They also teamed up with Leeds Digital Drinks and KwizzBit for a few post event drinks.
Enough of yesterday, here’s to today:
Not to be missed is the Tech North Digital Jobs Action Summit all day at Canal Mills.
The Marks & Spencers and University of Leeds’ ‘On Your Marks’ series continues with Digital disruption and the need to evolve.
Get hands on with some VR and 360 gear at the Cross Keys with VR Leeds 360.
And finally in another big hitter returning from last year, we welcome back Code In The Dark as we see if the defending champion can retain their title or if a new challenger will become the UK Code In the Dark champ.
See you there!
