There's lots of awesome science communication going on in Leeds so we recently launched a Leeds Sci Comm community where people can share ideas, tips, network, signpost to upcoming events, discuss best practice, and generally have a nice time.
Being digitally savvy is an important part of any science communication efforts, and social media in particular gives us the opportunity to reach a large number of people with our messages. But doing it well can be tricky, especially given that platforms are constantly changing how they operate, and changing in popularity.
Come along to this special Leeds Sci Comm Social, as part of Leeds Digital Festival, to meet others in the field and discuss how you can make use of digital technology in your work. You’ll meet people from the university sector, science festivals, charities and STEM outreach, citizen science and more.
Everyone welcome to this informal social event - there's new people every month! We meet in Tapped on Boar Lane, just round the corner from the train station.
