Michael Whitfield is the MD of CPP’s recently launched new UK business. With a long career in Financial Services behind him, Michael shows how the insurance and services sectors are responding to the challenges posed by cyber risks in their usual innovative fashion.
Richard Lucker, Head of New Products for CPP Group, will take a more personal look at cyber threats from the perspective of the online consumer, revealing some of the vulnerabilities that we expose without realising it, exploring some of the ways these can be exploited and sharing simple changes that can be made to significantly reduce the risks.
About the speakers
Andy has more than 20 years’ experience leading start up and growth phase businesses within the global cyber security market. Andy was the Managing Director of Garlik, the UK’s first provider of consumer personal data protection services, through to its successful acquisition by Experian in 2011. Subsequently, he became Managing Director, Europe for CSID, one of the leading providers of cyber protection.
Now as the founder and CEO of KYND, his aim is to make complex cyber risks simple to understand so organisations of any size can take action where necessary and be alerted to future risks as they arise. KYND’s first products will launch later in 2018 in the UK, Italy and Germany.
Richard has worked in digital product development for over 20 years across online media, telecoms and most recently, financial services sectors. As Head of New Products for CPP Group, Richard’s responsibilities include driving new product innovation, enhancing CPP’s product distribution capabilities and sourcing compelling third party products and services that can be distributed via CPP’s international footprint.
Michael has been in business for over 30 years, with most of this time spent building his own insurance and financial services start-ups. Michael has also served at Board level with a number of organisations, including as Operations Director and IT Director and as a Non-Executive with several businesses. Most recently Michael was Interim Executive Chairman of a European insurance company.
