The importance of women in tech roles and female founders of tech businesses cannot be understated. At the time of writing:
* 77% of tech leaders are men,
* 1/3rds of entrepreneurs are female,
* Male-led SME’s are 5x more likely to scale to over £1m turnover than female-led.
* 2% of VC funding in 2022 went to businesses founded exclusively by women.
As a consequence there’s a serious deficit in the number of role models for women and girls to look up to. And the talent pool of women developers and engineers is much smaller too.
This female founders lunch brings together a vibrant and supportive community of women, female founders of tech businesses challenging the status quo and pushing for change.
