Leeds AWS User Group is holding a Leeds Digital Festival Special event – focused on the tales of experience from people within the industry, sorrows included.
This event aims to educate by learning through someone’s experience so you can apply that knowledge to your projects. All levels of understanding of AWS are welcome at the event, we operate a yellow card system – to pause the talk to enquire what something is or does.
On the night we have two fantastic guests, Kurtis Lamb from CCP Games & Thomas Gray from AWS.
Kurtis will be explaining how his team effectively uses AWS Cognito to abstract differences between authentication sources in their games.
Thomas will be giving real world experience on how AWS Landing Zone is difficult, but it doesn’t have to be.
You’ll find additional benefit through networking with others who use AWS as part of their job or are looking to get started.
BJSS, 1 Whitehall Quay, Leeds. A short walk from Leeds train station.
On the night, food and beverages (both alcoholic and not) will be available.
Please let us know of any dietary requirements with as much notice as possible.
Like a large number of other communities, we have an anti harassment policy and code of conduct, in order to support the inclusive nature of our events. Please view here. It is necessary for all attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at any AWS Leeds to agree with the code of conduct.
The organising team for AWS Leeds are keen to promote diversity and inclusivity, in terms of speakers, how events are run, and the composition of the organising team. If you would like to contribute to this aim, particularly if you think you have experiences that you might not consider to be typical for the majority of the tech community, we would be really excited to talk with you at the event.
