Connect and engage with folks across our technology and data platform teams, understand the different types of roles employed by the bank, and discuss some of the shared challenges in the digital workplace. This event provides a great opportunity to build your network in an informal environment.
This is a drop-in event and you are welcome to join us at any time between 10am and 4.30pm. We are also hosting a series of technology events at the same venue covering cloud technology, open source and the circular economy, women in technology and fintech investment, so please take a look at the Leeds Digital Festival programme and consider joining some of those events too.

- Jess Tooby is a people partner at Lloyds Banking Group supporting data and tech roles. Her role involves supporting the Chief Information Officer on all things people. She’s worked at the bank for 17 years in a variety of business and strategy roles before her current role in People and Places. She was raised in West Yorkshire, and after leaving to go to university and work in London, is now very proud to have returned to work in Leeds. Jessica (Hill) Tooby | LinkedIn
- Sara Milne has worked in Technology in the Financial Services sector for over 30 years within the UK and Europe, having grown up in North Yorkshire and gone to University in Sheffield. She loves the diversity a technology career has offered and the variety of roles to explore. Sara has held many IT positions from Business Analysis to Programme Management delivering software and transformational change. In recent years her passion for leading cultural change, developing capability at scale and building communities has led to her current role as Head of Skills & Community in the Chief Technology Office at Lloyds Banking Group. - Gail Kyriacou is an Engineering Lead at Lloyds Banking Group supporting the Insurance, Pensions and Investments Platforms. Gail’s role involves leading release management, control, governance, and assurance of the core software that supports the Scottish Widows Pensions business. Gail has worked at the bank for 24 years in a variety of areas, primarily focused on Tech and Data change. - Sean Heffernan is a Tech Lead at Lloyds Banking Group. Having spent over 14 years delivering Digital & Technology projects and programmes across the Retail Bank, he is now leading the Intelligent Finance Platform operations & modernisation. This involves keeping the IF Service running for the remaining c.250k customers and colleagues and setting the strategy for the future of the platform. Sean has developed his career from the ground up at the bank in Leeds. Starting on a part time basis after deciding not to go to university, he found an interest technology change and has not looked back. Sean Heffernan | LinkedIn
- Simon Green works as a Site Reliability Engineering Lead in the Cloud Services team at Lloyds Banking Group. From supporting their on-premises estate running early digital banking platforms, to operating highly-scalable infrastructure in the Public Cloud, Simon is working to ensure the bank is able to make use of modern engineering principles, whilst continuing to operate safely at scale in the Cloud. He has been living and working in Yorkshire for more than half his life, including over 20 years working at Halifax, HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group. Simon Green | LinkedIn
