Leeds JS is back – Exploring more of what you can do with Javascript

Hosted by BJSS

Do you want to know how kids are using the internet in 2021?

Not only have internet technologies progressed over the years, but the way the internet is being consumed has massively changed. From SnapChat to TikTok, Joe Thornton will show us how youngsters from this generation are using the internet in ways we wouldn’t have imagined.

Following Joe will be a talk on augmented reality with JavaScript. If anyone has heard John Bower talk before you know you are in for a treat. He is knowledgeable, creative and entertaining. He can bend web technologies to make the most compelling interactive experiences. In this session he will focus on Augmented Reality and show us how JavaScript can be used to create exciting extensions of real life!

The day is open to all, and we encourage technical and non-technical people of all kinds to participate. We want to inspire the creation of tools, processes, and anything else teams can think of, that will improve access to websites for all people.

Taking place on and offline, listen to expert speakers discuss website accessibility and its importance throughout the day, and get inspired as each team demos their idea… and judges decide who should be awarded!
