Phil Fraser started WhichBingo by accident after a failed investment pitch for a different business idea.
The business started on a kitchen table, with no investment, with only Phil and his wife working part time. It took five years before they recruited their first team members, only to be hit by a legal change that destroyed 80% of the business overnight – with Google doing its damnedest to punish the site, too.
Eventually the business became a 10 time award-winning market leader, along with the industry kudos of an annual report and its own awards event.
In 2018 the business was sold to a plc in a multi-million pound deal.
