As part of Leeds Digital festival we are going to meet up for the first time in 2 years! This event is brought to you by John Staveley MVP.
o) How to get started with Raspberry Pi and C#
o) The numerous sensors and actuators you can control
o) How to navigate basic electronics
o) Different interfaces and how to program them
o) Physical demonstrates of devices at work
o) Azure Iot Hub to control your code from the cloud
In this hands on session we learn how to get set up programming in C# on your Raspberry Pi. We will program it to move things using solenoids, servos, check sensor readings and of course, blow things up, all using C#. As an extension to this, we will then control the Pi remotely using the cloud (Azure IoT hub) to control our new found capabilities from afar. This is a practical and hopefully fun demonstration on how you can get started quickly and explore this fascinating area of programming.
John Staveley is a Microsoft Mvp and full stack software engineer based in Leeds with 20 years experience specialising in C#, Mvc, Angular, SQL Server and Azure. In his spare time he occasionally enjoys sailing, sea kayaking, hill walking and cycling. You can find him on Twitter or LinkedIn.
This event is sponsored by Fruition IT.
If you arrive early, please head to the mezzanine for pizza and beer on a first come, first served basis!
