This session will give an insight into why diversity and inclusion (D&I) is important and why businesses should invest in robust D&I strategies. In order to do this, you will discover what D&I is, the business case for it and some of the data that supports it. You will come away from this session with a deep understanding of the significance of undertaking a D&I journey in a meaningful and supportive way.
Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors, Dominic Brown and Aishia Ullah from Corecom Consulting, will be leading this session. Since becoming Ambassadors for the company 1.5 years ago, Dominic and Aishia have rolled out their Diversity and Inclusion Training Programme both internally and externally. Through their combined 11 years’ experience in recruitment and D&I, they have helped businesses achieve a more inclusive interview process; ensuring candidates have equal opportunities and ensuring reasonable adjustments are made to candidates who require them. This, in turn, has led to diverse talent attraction through positioning these businesses as employers of choice.
As a result, they have been shortlisted for the ‘Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year Award’ at the prestigious Growing Business Awards in both 2021 and 2022.
