Creative Research Methods for Deeper Insights: Option 2

Discover creative ways to uncover the insights traditional research methods can miss.

When every research project starts to look the same, the insights often do too. Leeds and Yorkshire are home to a rich and diverse digital ecosystem, bringing together people with different experiences, perspectives and needs.

Understanding those audiences requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach to research.

While interviews and usability testing remain valuable user research tools, relying too heavily on familiar approaches can limit participation, produce predictable responses and make it harder to uncover the unexpected insights that lead to better products and services.

Join NEC Digital Studio for this interactive workshop, where you’ll get hands-on experience with a range of creative user research methods. You’ll take on a fun and engaging challenge designed to get you thinking differently about how you approach user research.

Together, we’ll explore techniques that can help encourage participation, spark richer conversations and uncover deeper insight, while discussing how they can be adapted for online and in-person settings.

You’ll leave with practical tools, ideas and techniques you can start applying straight away.

What you’ll learn and do:

  • Explore a range of creative user research methods and understand when to use them
  • Get hands-on experience applying creative techniques in a safe and supportive environment
  • Learn how creative approaches can improve participation and uncover richer insights
  • Discover how to adapt methods for online, in-person, individual and group research
