Celebrating Women Leaders in Tech: Insights & impact

Organised by AND Digital

Join us for lunch in Leeds, and connect with other women tech leaders – discussing the realities of being a female tech leader.

We’ve had an incredible response to the launch of our report on the experiences of women leaders in tech and tech-related roles. “Rewards & Resilience: The Dual Experience of Women in Tech” is based on extensive research with women leaders in tech roles across the UK. It reveals a real love of the careers tech can offer, but it also shows that enjoying the rewards of tech requires a level of resilience among women that isn’t required of men.

We’ll be in Leeds for our latest Women in Tech event, where we’ll explore some of the issues raised. If you’re an established or newly promoted women leader, we’d love you to join us to share your experiences, explore challenges, and offer (or receive) support and advice.

Key takeways:

Joining us will be an expert panel of cross-sector leaders who’ll share their career journeys and industry insights, and address some of the key questions raised by the report, including:

  • How do we ensure more women benefit from the rewards the sector offers?
  • How do we tackle the fact that 1 in 10 women still regularly experience discrimination ( and many more experience it occasionally)?
  • Why do so few women under 40 switch to tech careers, and how can we change that?
  • Where are all the women mentors, and how do we increase their presence?

The speakers:

  • Antonia Walt – Chief for Client Experience, AND Digital. Her career in technology is rooted in deep product thinking and commercial values – identifying how businesses can leverage technology to transform user, customer, and business outcomes;
  • Semmina Satia – Business Analyst, Leeds Building Society. Semmina possesses extensive knowledge and experience in financial services. She is passionate about driving process and operational excellence, demonstrated by her expertise in various business areas including mortgage advice, risk and people management, coaching, quality assurance, and project management;
  • Toni Phoenix-Coles – Founder, Define Talent & Define Coaching. A proud northerner, Toni brings 19 years of technology recruitment expertise, leading teams and collaborating with SMEs and blue chips to elevate their tech talent;
  • Lauren Hines (Host) – Chief for UK Marketing & Alliances, AND Digital. Lauren is the Chief of Marketing & Alliances at AND Digital, leading the teams that drive the Marketing and Alliances strategy for the UK business. She also sits as a UK Board member for AND, on UK ExCo and as the Women AND Tech Exec Sponsor.
After the panel discussion, enjoy a networking session with industry leaders over lunch. We’re committed to making an impact with “Rewards & Resilience.” Be part of the conversation and help us drive change.
