“Be Online, Stay Safe” is a guiding principle designed to promote the safe and responsible use of the internet by older people. It emphasises the importance of being aware of potential online risks and taking measures to protect oneself while engaging in online activities.
For older individuals, “Be Online, Stay Safe” means using a set of practices and behaviours that minimise the chances of falling victim to online scams, fraud, or other digital threats”
The BOSS programme funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology is a Leeds based community based learning programme run by Leeds Older People’s Forum in partnership with 100% Digital Leeds ,designed and developed in partnership with community organisations and the participation of older people from Black and Ethnic groups.
We will explore with you how the programme has been developed, share our learning and cover the unique learning modules we have developed.
