In ‘An Eggxact Science’, we’ll take a light hearted and informative look at how customer demand models are built and used to keep supermarket shelves full. The talk will start out with a conceptual and non-technical overview of demand modelling, before discussing some of the challenges of using machine learning models in production and how the culture and ways of working of a Data Science team can impact performance.
The talk would be of interest to people who want to learn more about how to build an effective Data Science function and those who want to see how machine learning can be used to deliver improved business performance. It will predominantly be a non-technical discussion with some technical discussion, so is suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
