AI Didn’t Kill the Video Star: It made video more valuable

AI is here, and it isn’t going away.

But it isn’t an employee, a creative director, a videographer or a replacement for people.

It is a tool – and when used properly, it can enhance the way businesses plan, produce and get more value from video.

In this practical session, I’ll show how I use AI within real video-production workflows and how businesses can start using it to create better content themselves.

We’ll look at how to decide what videos your business should be making, develop a simple content plan, generate ideas for both quick-turnaround and longer-form content, prepare interview questions, work with transcripts and turn one filming day into a wider bank of useful marketing content.

This isn’t about replacing professional production with generic AI-generated content.

It is about using Al to speed up the repetitive parts of the process and give people more time to focus on the things that still need human input: storytelling, creativity, judgement, trust and understanding an audience.

Attendees will leave with a practical starting point for creating their own content, including a clearer idea of what to make, who it is for and how AI can support the process.

I am also hoping to be joined by some Guest contributors, subject to availability.

Agenda:

A 45-minute practical workshop exploring AI, video marketing and content planning, followed by 30 minutes of Q&A from the audience.

Tea, coffee, water and soft drinks will be provided, with an opportunity to continue conversations and network afterwards until 5 pm

This event is aimed at: Marketing managers, communications professionals, founders, small business owners and content teams working across Leeds’ tech and digital sectors who want to create more effective video content and use AI in a practical way.
