Allyship is one of the most powerful tools in the DEI agenda because it provides a framework for approaching uncomfortable topics or difficult questions.
Allyship channels a way of thinking that goes beyond ourselves and our own personal experiences. It is an active effort to use privilege and power to advocate for people with less privilege, and helps us support others to achieve equality in and out of the workplace.
Everyone has the ability to be an ally as privilege is intersectional. This event will provide an opportunity to talk through our own experiences of allyship and being an ally, reflecting on some key topics and talking points to provoke thoughts around how you can support those in your own workplace or in your day to day lives.
This relaxed and informal event is a chance to gather insights, pick up some new skills and make new friends over breakfast.
This is an in-person event, and is open to everyone and will be of particular interest to women, those who identify as non-binary and those who are allies of women in the tech industry.
