The Digital Schoolhouse philosophy is all about a play based learning approach to developing computational thinking skills of young children. Through workshops, pupils are inspired to learn about technology and the wider benefits computing concepts have on their lives.
These 'in the wild' (as in, not school based) sessions are designed to give parents and their children a taste of what being involved in the Digital Schoolhouse project is all about. The session will show children and their grown-ups how to create an electronic Hogwarts 'sorting hat' using a BBC Micro:Bit device, and they will learn how to recycle code to use it in totally different ways.
More details and venue to be announced soon!
