If you are passionate about seeing how service design and collaboration can make a real difference then come and take part in Hippodigtal’s first Sprint/Jam/Hack mashup.
If you are a designer, researcher, front or back-end developer, analyst or enthusiast this event is for you!
Bringing together digital delivery and service design experts, you will get to collaborate in teams, giving your time and skills to helping a local charity improve their service for real users. Experience a ‘Design Sprint’ approach going through all the elements of mapping, sketching, deciding, prototyping and testing - all in a day.
Using the great collaborative space of the Leeds Open Data Institute (ODI), you will need to bring a laptop, power cables, converters (if you have them) and, of course, your enthusiasm. The Hippo Digital team will provide design experts and facilitators to help you through the day, along with materials, power supplies, WIFI connectivity - and food and drink to keep you going!
Platforms for hosting and sharing material during and after the event will also be available - we will work in the open and everything produced will be open for anyone to progress. Not only do we get to support a Leeds-based community organisation everything we produce will be open source and available for anyone to reuse/share and build on after the event.
Please be aware we are charging a fee because we are really keen that you show up on the day but all funds will go to the chosen charity.
