Continue is an initiative driven by the BGI that connects ‘videogame’ and ‘culture’ people. Continue brings together those who commission work in cultural spaces with independent videogame developers interested in producing work for display.
It creates new markets for videogame creators and helps the culture sector access new work, allowing new audiences to access both.
It’s about creating understanding and videogame literacy in the culture sector and vice-versa, always to end of getting things done.
Supported by key strategic partners including Creative England, Continue remains an important exploration of the role and value of videogames in contemporary culture. Building on the success of last year’s conference, this essential event will showcase case studies, new ideas and best practice in videogame commissioning and engagement across the broader cultural sphere. By developing & sharing strategies for aiding the cultural development of videogames, Continue will demonstrate their potential value to arts and heritage audiences.
Galleries, Festivals, Arts Agencies, Broadcasters, Advertisers, Policy Makers and Developers will take this rare opportunity to come together to discuss and develop policy, but also to reinvigorate thinking around what games are and could be to their audiences.
