Clinical Skills Suite (floor 5), Leeds Beckett City Campus, Leeds, LS1 3HEView Map
Leeds is the third biggest city in the UK with an ageing population, of which the 60-74 age group is projected to grow by over 8,000 (+8%) and the 75+ group by almost 6,000 (+10%) between 2015 and 2021. How can we make our city the best place to grow old and what is the role of digital technologies supporting this ambition? Led by Mick Ward, Deputy Director Integrated Commissioning of Adult Social Care at Leeds City Council & NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups, this session is an opportunity to hear about and actively contribute to inform developments and share good practice on a range of initiatives and collaborations to support active ageing in our city. Watch this space for information on our presenters.
Audience: Anyone interested in Smart Cities, active ageing and the role of digital technologies. This will be of particular interest to digital health SMEs and wearable technology providers as there will be a call to market later this year to support Smart City initiatives.
Additional information: The main City Campus buildings are between 2 and 14 mins walk from Leeds train station. View the University campus maps for more information. Refreshments will be provided.
