Do you find it hard to have difficult conversations with your employees? This practical session which will equip you to take action and deal with difficult situations head on.

Building a productive team and company often involves what can be emotional or difficult issues such as performance or conduct concerns, complaints by employees about the way they’ve been treated by colleagues or line managers.

This might be talking to a fellow founder as their role needs to change from "chief of everything" to a more focused role or helping new team members navigate a small forming company For those businesses without a dedicated HR function, this can present a real challenge, particularly as these conversations usually take place one-to-one. Tackling these issues should be seen as an opportunity with improved performance, attendance and employee engagement, rather than a problem. And often where failing to deal with issues properly or at all may lead to absence, reduced productivity or a grievance.

This session led by Emma Cheshire, CEO, Dotforge with expert guidance from leading employment specialists, 3volution and Ruth Richards, HR Professional will prepare and improve your confidence for having those difficult or crucial conversations, including how to manage and control the process. Emma will lead a Q&A session with plenty of opportunity to share knowledge and deal with those thorny questions you may have. All welcome. This will be of greatest value for businesses who have moved beyond the start up phase and have recruited 3 or more staff.

Useful for founders, CEO, COO and other lead roles of small growing companies or companies which are experiencing the pains of recent fast growth.
